Badrinath Auli tour in Uttarakhand - Tour Itinerary
Auli is nestled in the lap of the snow-capped peaks of Garhwal Himalayas in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand, near the world famous religious shrine of Badrinath. Once hidden in the hills of Chamoli near Joshimath, it has turned into a skiing destination par excellence, even rivaling Gulmarg. At a height of about 3000 metres, Auli offers an incomparably wonderful view of Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Mana Parwat, Neelkanth, Beethartoli, Hathi Parvat, Nar Parvat and Ghori Parbat.
There is a 500-meter ski lift and skiers are able to avail slopes worth 20 km. The snow lifts link the upper and lower slopes of the ski surface. November-February is the peak season for ski enthusiasts. It is also the major stopover for pilgrims visiting Badrinath, one of the Char Dhams. It is also a honeymoon destination due to its breathtaking landscapes and backdrop of Himalayan Range. Auli is known for its pilgrimage centers, ski slopes, lake and scenic beauty.
